| Peter will be known to regular readers of the Unquoted bulletin boards where he regularly posts his in-depth research on OFEX companies under the user id of "Third Eye".
Peter will be bringing us a regular Monday morning column "Diary of a Full-time OFEX Investor" giving us a review of his trials and tribulations on trading the OFEX market during the previous week, as well as snippets of any research he has uncovered.
Peter is now a full-time investor having started his career in the transport sector. After finishing his education he became an HGV fitter, before moving on to become and HGV Inspector for a well-known building sector Plc. He moved on from their to become Transport Manager for another Plc. After 10 years in the industry he decided to move on and started his own business which he duly sold five years later.
Having now seen both ends of the commercial spectrum, Peter was invited into help a company in financial difficulties where he was appointed a Director. A turnaround of the company's fortunes was achieved within the year and Peter remained on board for a further four.
Some time later Peter was called back into the company, having found itself once again in financial difficulties following an internal fraud. Again he was able turnaround the companies fortunes within a year.
Peter's interests in the financial markets began in 1984 when he began snatching the Financial Director's copy of the FT from his desk before he'd even had a chance to read it. In that same year he decided to purchase the London Business School of Investments' two volumes of learning (for a not insubstantial sum of £100 in those days), which he read from cover to cover. Since then his passionate interest in the equities markets have never
waned.
In November 1999, Peter decided to become a full time investor, and focuses the majority of his investment strategy on OFEX.
